Dec. 4, 11:40 a.m. — A 55-year-old Palm Desert man was arrested during a pedestrian check at Plaza Way and El Paseo.
Dec. 5, 9:15 a.m. — A 48-year-old Palm Desert man was arrested during a pedestrian check at a business in the 73000 block of Highway 111.
Dec. 9, 5:25 p.m. — A 52-year-old Indio woman was arrested during a traffic stop at Highway 111 and Monterey Avenue.
Dec. 10, 11:25 a.m. — A 45-year-old Palm Springs man was arrested during a traffic stop at Country Club Drive and Washington Street.
Dec. 10, 4:35 p.m. — A 42-year-old Palm Desert man was arrested at a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111 after being reported as a suspicious person.
Retail thefts
Deputies made three theft-related arrests at businesses along Highway 111 and Monterey Avenue, with suspects found in possession of stolen merchandise or property.
Dec. 4, 7:12 p.m. — A 25-year-old Thousand Palms man was arrested at a business in the 34000 block of Monterey Avenue after being found with stolen merchandise.
Dec. 9, 12:46 p.m. — A 42-year-old Desert Hot Springs man was arrested at Highway 111 and Desert Crossing with stolen property. He was also on county probation.
Dec. 9, 4:30 p.m. — A 34-year-old Indio man was arrested at a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111 with stolen merchandise. He was also on county probation.
DUI arrests
Deputies arrested five drivers for driving under the influence, including responses to traffic collisions, reckless driving reports, and a speeding complaint.
Dec. 4, 6:22 p.m. — A 37-year-old Palm Desert man was arrested at Fred Waring Drive and San Pablo Avenue following a traffic collision.
Dec. 8, 4:23 p.m. — A 21-year-old Indio man was arrested at a business in the 44000 block of Portola Avenue after being reported as a possible drunk driver.
Dec. 8, 11:30 p.m. — A 22-year-old Palm Desert man was arrested at Verdin Street and Hovley Lane East after being reported for speeding.
Dec. 10, 2:16 p.m. — A 42-year-old Palm Desert man was arrested at Country Club Drive and Desert Willow Drive after being reported as a reckless driver.
Dec. 10, 3:28 p.m. — A 32-year-old San Bernardino man was arrested at Country Club Drive and Desert Willow Drive following a traffic collision.
Stolen vehicle recoveries

Dec. 5, 10:31 p.m. — A 46-year-old El Cajon woman was arrested during a traffic stop at Monterey Avenue and Fred Waring Drive after the vehicle was determined to be recently reported stolen.
Dec. 6, 11:52 a.m. — A 25-year-old Mesa, Arizona woman was arrested at Country Club Drive and Cook Street after deputies located a suspicious vehicle that had been recently reported stolen.
Dec. 9, 4:44 p.m. — A 30-year-old Thermal man was arrested during a traffic stop at Fred Waring Drive and Washington Street after the vehicle was determined to be recently reported stolen.
Narcotics arrests
Deputies made two narcotics-related arrests during the week, with suspects contacted during pedestrian and vehicle checks.
Dec. 4, 3:39 p.m. — A 32-year-old Palm Springs man was arrested at a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111 after narcotics were found on him. He also had an outstanding warrant.
Dec. 6, 2:38 a.m. — A 50-year-old La Quinta man and a 24-year-old Palm Desert woman were arrested at Monterey Avenue and San Gorgonio Way after narcotics were located on them during a vehicle check.

Dec. 6, 10:37 p.m. — A 29-year-old Indio man was arrested at Fred Waring Drive and San Pablo Avenue after deputies located a loaded firearm on him during a possible drunk driver investigation. The man was not intoxicated but lacked a concealed carry permit.
