Warrant arrests
Deputies served three warrant arrests during the week, contacting individuals during routine pedestrian checks and traffic stops across the city.
A 33-year-old male from Cathedral City was arrested March 28 after a records check during a suspicious person call in the 74000 block of De Anza Way revealed an outstanding warrant.
A 47-year-old male from Blythe was arrested March 31 after a records check during a suspicious person call at a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111 revealed an outstanding warrant.
A 35-year-old male from Palm Desert was arrested April 1 after a pedestrian check at the intersection of Cook Street and 42nd Avenue revealed an outstanding warrant.
A 23-year-old male from Thousand Palms was arrested April 1 after a traffic stop at the intersection of Acacia Drive and Gloriana Drive revealed an outstanding warrant.
Retail and other thefts
Theft arrests were among the most frequent incidents of the week, concentrated along the Highway 111 corridor and at other commercial locations across the city.

A 38-year-old female from La Quinta was arrested March 26 after stolen merchandise was found on her at a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111.
A 55-year-old male from Palm Desert was arrested March 26 after stolen merchandise was found on him at a business in the 43000 block of Monterey Avenue.
A 50-year-old male and a 38-year-old female, both from Indio, were arrested March 30 after stolen merchandise was found on them at a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111.
A 61-year-old male from Indio was arrested March 30 after stolen merchandise was found on him at a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111.
A 60-year-old female from Palm Desert was arrested March 31 after stolen merchandise was found on her at a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111.
A 20-year-old male from Indio was arrested April 1 in connection with a theft that occurred March 26 at a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111. Deputies located him during a traffic stop at the intersection of Monterey Avenue and Country Club Drive.
DUI arrests
Deputies made one DUI-related arrest during the week.
A 49-year-old male from Desert Hot Springs was arrested in the early morning hours of April 1 after a traffic stop at the intersection of Monterey Avenue and Country Club Drive. Deputies determined he displayed a heightened level of intoxication.
Stolen vehicle recoveries
The Sheriff's Department did not report any stolen vehicle recoveries this week.
Narcotics arrests
Deputies made three narcotics-related arrests during the week, including one involving suspected drug sales.
A 28-year-old male was arrested March 29 after a pedestrian check at the intersection of San Pablo Avenue and Santa Rosa Way revealed narcotics on him. A records inquiry also showed he was on county probation.

Deputies responded to multiple domestic battery calls throughout the week, with arrests made in each case.
A 27-year-old female from South Dakota was arrested March 26 following a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 73000 block of Shadow Mountain Drive.
A 32-year-old male from Palm Desert was arrested March 26 following a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 77000 block of Michigan Drive.
A 37-year-old female from Carlsbad was arrested March 27 following a domestic disturbance at a business in the 74000 block of Country Club Drive.
A 34-year-old male from Palm Desert was arrested March 28 following a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 75000 block of Hovley Lane East.
Other notable calls
Trespassing: A 64-year-old female was arrested March 26 at a residence in the 77000 block of Country Club Drive after she refused to leave following an eviction.
Restraining order and parole violation: A 54-year-old male from Palm Desert was arrested March 30 at a residence in the 77000 block of Mountain View Drive after deputies determined he had violated a restraining order protecting the victim. A records check also showed he was on parole.
Resisting arrest: A 32-year-old male from Palm Desert was arrested March 31 at the intersection of Velie Way and Cook Street after witnesses reported him tampering with vehicle doors. The suspect attempted to kick a deputy and resisted arrest.
Public intoxication: A 40-year-old male from Phoenix was arrested April 1 at a business in the 40000 block of Cook Street after deputies determined he displayed a heightened level of intoxication.
