Warrant arrests

Deputies arrested multiple individuals on outstanding warrants during the week, including a Nov. 25 contact with a 50-year-old Palm Desert man in the 73000 block of Highway 111 and a Nov. 26 arrest of a 60-year-old Palm Desert man during a theft operation.

  • Nov. 25: A 50-year-old Palm Desert man was arrested in the 73000 block of Highway 111 after deputies discovered he had an outstanding warrant.

Retail thefts

Deputies conducted a coordinated theft operation on Nov. 26 in response to recent theft reports, resulting in multiple arrests at various locations throughout the city.

  • Nov. 21: A 39-year-old Cathedral City man was arrested for a theft that occurred in the 74000 block of Gerald Ford Drive. He was located in the 82000 block of Highway 111 in Indio.

  • Nov. 23: A 38-year-old La Quinta man was arrested after deputies responded to a theft at a business in the 42000 block of Washington Street. The suspect was located in the 84000 block of Indio Springs Parkway in Indio.

  • Nov. 26 (morning): Deputies conducted a theft operation at multiple locations throughout Palm Desert. A 45-year-old Palm Desert man was arrested after deputies located stolen items and brass knuckles on him. A 47-year-old Indio man was arrested after deputies found stolen items and narcotics on him.

  • Nov. 26 (evening): During a traffic stop at Highway 111 and Plaza Way, deputies arrested a 35-year-old male and a 31-year-old female, both from Bermuda Dunes, after locating stolen items, brass knuckles, and narcotics.

DUI arrests

Deputies arrested two drivers for driving under the influence during the week, both following traffic collisions.

  • Nov. 20: A 53-year-old Palm Desert woman was arrested at the intersection of El Paseo and Highway 74 following a traffic collision. The driver displayed a heightened level of intoxication.

  • Nov. 24: A 36-year-old Coachella man was arrested at the intersection of Highway 111 and Monterey Avenue after a traffic collision. The driver displayed a heightened level of intoxication.

Stolen vehicle recoveries

  • Nov. 20: A 30-year-old Fontana woman was arrested in the 36000 block of Cook Street after deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle report. An inquiry revealed the vehicle was stolen.
